Their debut song, “D-tecnoLife” ranked 4th place on the Oricon Top Hits Chart. An instant smash hit, their sudden spotlight surprised many.

Their second single “Chance!” also listed 5th on the Oricon Chart (In 2005, there was only 1 group who had two of their singles make it on the top 5 in a row).

..they released their 4th single titled, “Colors of the Heart” (Opening for “Blood+”) which also ranked in the top 3 on the Oricon Top Hits Chart, the best ranking in their career thus far.

In August, they released their 5th single titled “SHAMROCK”, used as the theme song for the drama series Dandori. This release showed the world an even wider range of music styles and impressed many fans.

In November, they released their 6th single titled, “Kimi no Sukina Uta” (Theme song for, Koi Suru Hanikami) which ranked 2nd place in the Oricon Top Hits Chart. This song is their first ballad song.

In February, 2007 they released their much-awaited second album. By spring, they had announced their nationwide tour. In May, they released their 7th single titled, “endscape” (Opening theme song for the anime, “TOWARD THE TERRA”).

In August, the release of “Shaka Beach~Laka Laka La~” made it to the top 2 on the Oricon Top Hits Chart. The achievement was a first, for a single to be ranked second place without any ties to an anime, or drama theme song.

November 2007 marked their release for the Wednesday weekly TV drama series from “Nihon TV”, “Hataraki-man”’s theme song titled “Ukiyo Crossing”. This song also ranked third on the Oricon Top Hits Chart.

Their 10th single “Gekidou” which also ranked third on the Oricon Top Hit Charts was labeled as the symbol song for 2008.

Their second ballad single titled, “Koishikute”, also a single that did not have ties with other media titles, ranked top 3 on the Oricon Top Hit Charts.

Their 12th single, “Hakanakumo Towa No Kanashi” (Opening theme song for the anime, “Kidou Senshi Gundam 00” second season) is still playing on everyone’s top play lists. For the first time this single ranked first place on the Oricon Top Hits Chart!

Okay... I AM AMAZED! totally! They got best ranks in Oricon Chart like many many many times!!!!! It really shows how great their music and I don't regret to put them as my favorite Japanese band!

I never forget the very first time I heard their song which is D-tecnolife as the OST of Bleach anime (I borrowed the DVD coincidentally from my junior). And first time I heard the song, I fell in love, with the music, and the vocal! Damn it's directly touch my heart! Even though I didn't get the Japanese lyrics at first, but I know from the music and the vocal that the song bring the spirit in the heart !

Like once I ever posted about Monkey Majik , UVERworld is now also be my favorite Japanese music band! So the list is rising, for Japanese music, I love Monkey Majik for sure, UVERworld, DEPAPEPE, and YUI!!! They're the best I ever know! Oh, yeah, don't forget I also admire Kajiura Yuki for her enchanted music composing!

Recently I watched UVERworld concert video at Tokyo Dome as their Last Tour in 2010. And those videos are so... damn... GREAT!!!! Whoa! The stage was also a blast! I wish I could have watch such concert in my lifetime..

Actually, the reason why I put this blog title 'the next next next' is because I refer it to somekind of 'next generation'. I'm telling this because, to see how UVERworld really making many hits and most of their songs are contributed to many anime titles, reminds me a lot with musicians the past which also experienced the same thing: L'arc-en-ciel and TM Revolution :)

Not that I say UVERworld is copying TMR or Laruku's thing (their musics are also different! Even though they're great in different ways), it's because they got similarities:
They contribute songs to many anime titles
They got characteristical vocals
Their musics are great, and they sing emotionally
(but I have to emphasize that their music styles are really different, you'll understand if you watch and compare them)


But... it makes me happy that the era is back again, the era of a really great band, really influential band (you should watch UVERworld Tokyo Dome concert), which contributes songs to many great anime titles! See? As anime lover, I really thing that UVERworld had done really great thing by that! Perfectly famous in perfect way! *LOL

They're the next generation of great influential band with great songs for anime OST, the next Laruku & TM Revolution! You better watch out because they're like replacing your place :D hahaha. They steal attentions! Of course all of these are just my personal opinion, nothing more :p

Oyeah, since nowadays I don't update my blog posts, I have to say it's all because the dead of my internet connection for the past 2 weeks, and finally now the internet is fixed and I can start updating my blog post again. Yay!

And, fyi, because of the internet died last few days, I just doing some doodling on my laptop, and guess what? This is one of my doodling result with paint:

Yeah, it is TAKUYA∞ the vocal of UVERworld. He has characteristical voice which make you think "Ah, I know this is UVERworld from the vocal".

Hahaha, but this picture isn't even close to his appearance, I only draw this based on his look at Tokyo Dome 2010 concert, and for real, he didn't wear vest at that concert *LOL.

Still, I think this drawing is cute, hahahaha.

Okay, judul postingan itu bukan bermaksud ke sesuatu yang negatif (macam plagiat atau membajak). What I mean is music in my life, my days are getting tough, and as a person who loves musics (siapa juga yg ngga suka?), I need some songs/music that can bring out the mood and encourage myself to face the day better.

And here comes the MAJIK brothers! Monkey Majik is in the house!

I actually knew this group since 2007 or maybe 2008, I almost forgot how good they are and now I start to listen to their songs again!

Monkey Majik itu yang gw tau adalah grup musik yang penyanyinya itu 2 bersaudara orang Kanada (picture from left). Dua orang lainnya gw kurang tau deh tampaknya gw sudah melewatkan beberapa hal mengenai mereka. Yeah, their lyrics are in English with some Japanese lines.

They're songs really something! I feel veeeeryy good listening to their songs. They filled the soul and mind, well in this case are my mind and soul.


My fave's are FLY, CHANGE, TOGETHER, SORA WA MARUDE... okay, I LOVE ALL THEIR SONGS. I listen to them everyday now.

Hh... since I love all about Japan, I'm sad because these days I have no time to have a follow up about that country. I don't even read Japanese manga (comics) almost for 7 months! I'm an anime-fan and manga-mania, I love Japanese dorama and musics, so, this situation is not good for me. I want my spare time back! Hiks...

Passion of Classic

Haaah... Capek bgt gw, gara2 kelamaan menghabiskan waktu di rumah liburan ini, sekalinya gw jalan keluar naek angkot dll langsung ngos2an. Bahaya, nih, harus segera menjalankan planning2 liburan gw! (Akh! Salah satu kelemahan gw adl manajemen waktu!).

Anyway, td mampir ke KFC bentar sambil nunggu toko buku buka. Sialnya, baru pas gw mesen makanan eskalator yg menuju toko buku langsung jalan, gw jd terpaksa tekor dah! Yawes, gw tongkrongin abis2an dah disana sambil baca2 majalah yg gw bawa.

Di KFC tsb, ada TV yg nayangin video lagu2 album KFC (Taulah... Lagu2 macam apa), dan kuping gw agak kurang menikmati jenis musik yg dibawakan. Entah bosen entah apa, yg pasti... Sekarang gw sedang jatuh hati dengan... Musik klasik!

Yeah! Jenis musik yg di toko kaset seringnya ditemuin versi untuk anak2 bayi dan untuk belajar (sampe akhirnya gw nemu toko kaset yg koleksi musik klasiknya lebih dr itu). Yeah! Musik yg mungkin identik dengan kaum aristokrat dan darah biru alias orkay2. Hey, alat musik ansamble itu tidak murah sobat.

But, believe me: classic music was totally great. TOTALLY. I love it, I love to listen to it. And I'm sure you will, too.

Musik klasik bikin ngantuk? Mm... Maybe some of them, tapi gw pernah dnger musik aliran jazz yg lebih bikin ngantuk drpd itu! (Dan itu pke alat musik mcm gitar dan drum!). Tapi kalo musik jazz aja banyak yg bagus plus keren, begitu pula musik klasik, dong?

Awalnya gw tertarik sejak ngikutin komik Nodame Cantabile (yg sumpah di satu sisi bkin ngakak, di sisi lain bkin merinding dg bagian seriusnya). Sampe nonton doramanya, makin suka! Dan akhirnya nonton anime La Corda d'oro Primo Passo, gw jatuh hati dg musik klasik.

Nggak terpaku dngan aliran klasik, intinya, mencoba mendengar musik yg berasal dr alat musik ansamble bisa jadi warna baru tersendiri. Hehehe...

Banyak musik2 yg bagus en keren di dunia ini, dan musik klasik adl salah satunya!



N.b. Still looking where I can find another classic-music store, or free download websites maybe? Coz the CDs cost quiet expensive.

Yeah, why? Kenapa ya? dari dulu pengen bilang ini tapi takut nggak tepat. Atau lebih ngeri lagi kalau emang tepat.

Beda agamalah, udah punya ceweklah, beda umurlah (brondong, hey! Kayaknya selera gw jadi jatoh, nih, ya?). So, here I am: jomblo.

Banyak cowok cakep yang gw temui sampai hari ini. Banyak yang menarik mata dan perhatian. Tapi hanya beberapa yang benar2 pernah bertengger di hati gw. Yang gw tanggepin seriously. And you know what? They got love songs for each. So, prepare to listen to it.

Yeah, agak malu ditulis pake bahasa Indonesianya, jadi gw translate seenaknya ke bahasa Inggris, deh. Artikan sendiri, ya. Lagunya sendiri bisa didenger di New%20Music">sini.

This one, is for someone from my junior high school. Some people already knew him, termasuk Tammi Prasetyo. Ada cerita yang gw buat tentang dia di posting ABSTRAK.

Seorang yang membuat gw mengalami langsung bagaimana tipisnya jarak antara benci dengan cinta. Tapi apa yang bisa gw perbuat? Lo nggak pernah melihat keberadaan gw. Bahkan yang udah terang2an menunjukkan rasa suka gw. Thank God, sekarang perasaan gw ke elo itu udah menghilang. Walopun ternyata butuh kurang lebih 4 tahun untuk perasaan itu benar2 hilang. Sayonara...!

Hmm... pertama masuk SMA, langsung kecantol (oh, no!) sama cowok anak kelas 3 yang jadi pemimpin upacara dan kelihatan gagah banget (euy!).

Anak paskibra, anak basket, anak BKS (Badan Keamanan Sekolah), wuih kurang cowok apa coba? Yah, pastinya dari mulai CCP-an sampe nitip salam (secara paksa oleh kakak kelas gw), sampe dia akhirnya mulai nyari2 tahu tentang gw dari informan gw sendiri tentang dia (hehe), sampe kabarnya beberapa anak basket tahu tentang seorang cewek kelas X yang lagi naksir dia (yakni: gw). Bhuah! Sampe akhirnya kita SMS-an dan lain2 sebagainya.

Tapi... selanjutnya, tidak ada kelanjutan apa2. Dari dia nggak ada gerakan apa2, kabarnya dia lagi ngejar cewek lain, dan akhirnya pergilah ia ke laut (baca: lulus;red).

Konyol banget! Datang dan berlalu begitu aja! Nggak jelas gimana lanjutnya! Eeh! Tau2 setelah hampir 2 tahun dari kelulusan angkatan dia, sekarang gw udah kelas XII, dia muncul di acara OPUS (obrolan kampus) di sekolah gw, berstatus anak Binus dan berdiri tepat di depan hidung gw untuk sharing2 ttg kuliahnya.

Lagu New%20Music">Mocca “I Think I’m in Love” adalah lagu yang mengalun saat pertama kali gw suka sama orang itu. Persis dengan apa yang gw rasakan sama si kakak kelas satu ini.

Dia adalah yang baru2 ini bikin gw patah hati. Sebuah unconditional love.

Different belief. Beda keyakinan. Itu satu2nya yang bisa gw bilang tentang dia.
Still can’t forget about him. Ada puisi tentang dia, dan itu bisa dibaca di posting ‘About Him’.
Silly, funny, lover, and charming. He seems so perfect for me and I hope I’ll meet ‘the other him’, but someone in the same belief with me.

Untuk dia, yang berinisial sama dengan gw, yang absennya sebelum gw, love song-nya baru didapat hari ini: New%20Music">Afgan with ‘Terima Kasih Cinta’. Nggak tahu kenapa, tapi nadanya pas aja.

And... now? Slow and unsure, ada seseorang yang mulai menarik perhatian gw lagi. Walopun belum sempurna, tapi ceritanya bisa dibaca di posting berikut.

The Music got into Me

Weh... ternyata yang namanya musik itu emang ‘global language’ banget yah. Bahasa dunia yang dimengerti semua orang. The world must filled by music, our life was music itself, with its ryhtms and notes. Hehehe... mendadak ngomong ‘the music got into me’ soalnya akhir2 ini yang bisa menghibur hati gw adalah: musik.

Yeps! Dimulai dari BTA (bimbel tambahan gitu, udah kelas 3, sih) bahasa Inggris di mana pengajarnya itu jago nyanyi nge-jazz! Wuih! Awalnya dia ngajar di kelas kita Cuma segelintir murid yang pay attention, sebagian yang lainnya (terutama yg cowok2) pada main gitar di belakang (soalnya hari Jumat ada pelajaran seni musik). Gw juga bawaannya jadi ngerjain diklat sambil nyanyi2.

Sampe akhirnya, si pengajar tsb ngomong: “Ya, udah, mending sekarang kita nyanyi aja, yuk. Kayaknya ada yang bawa gitar, tuh”. Yang langsung bikin gw kaget dan berhenti nyanyi2 kecil dan ngomong sama tmen sebangku gw: “Jangan2 tadi pas gw senandung2 kecil kedengeran sama dia, ya!? Soalnya gw duduk di baris kedua, nih”.

Intinya, beberapa saat kemudian si pengajar (oiya, dia cowok) udah nggak duduk di meja guru dan berdiri di sebelah ketua kelas (yang megang gitar dan duduk di kursi belakang). Dan sesaat kelas mulai ber-casciscus ria sampe tiba-tiba... “We can make it if we try...!!!” terdengar lantang dinyanyikan oleh si pengajar tsb. Dan keren...!!! ternyata dari tadi dia nyanyi Just the Two of Us gitu, deh! (gw nggak tau judulnya itu atau bukan). Langsung disambut sorak-sorai anak2 sekelas termasuk gw!!!

Kemaren jumat, cowok itu ngajar lagi di kelas kita dan serempak anak2 pada minta dia nyanyi aja. Dan ternyata... di tasnya emang udah terisi sama lagu2!!! Nih, orang emang niat nyanyi banget, yah? Katanya dia juga smpet jadi penyanyi kafe gitu.

Akhir kata, dia nyanyi dan kali ini si ketua kelas main gitarnya di depan kelas, mendadak... wakasek bid. Humas masuk!!! Biasa... inspeksi dadakan gitu, yang langsung membungkam semua mulut penghuni kelas (termasuk si pengajar).

Kita semua langusung bela2in ngomong:
“Ini pelajaran bahasa inggris, Bu! Jadi nyanyi bahasa Inggris...!”

Trus guru tsb nanya ke pengajar kita: “Emang ada materi kayak gini?” dengan nada dingin dan datar.

Si pengajar jawab: “Yah... sekarang untuk pronounsation dan lain bla... bla... bla... jadi anak2 minta izin saya nyanyi, saya nyanyi, deh”

Kata guru tsb lagi (oiya, dia ibu2): “Jangan mau dikibulin sama anak2 ya, Pak. Mereka emang maunya aja nggak belajar. Mereka emang maunya aja main2”

Si pengajar Cuma ngangguk: “Iya, Bu... Iya, Bu...”

Yah, gw jadi merasa nggak enak, gitu. Ehehe... emang, sih ibu guru itu rada nyebelin kalo udah urusan beginian, tapi dia juga nggak salah karena dia punya tanggung jawab untuk membuat sekolah kita nggak jadi macem2.

Sementara si pengajar, dia tau kalo kita sebagai murid2 yg sekolah dari pagi smpe sore, pasti butek banget kalo Cuma belajar. Jadi dia masih mau mengertiin kita.

Sedangkan kita...? yah, sekali2 belajar sambil santai (kaum tua sensi banget denger kata ini) nggak pa-pa, kan? Setidaknya untuk kita2 yang juga belajar keras tiap hari (gw ngomong begitu karena gw berusaha untuk belajar sungguh2 tiap hari di skul). Tapi gw juga nggak membenarkan sikap anak2 yg terlalu ‘mau santai’ bukan ‘dibawa santai’.

Hahaha... intinya, setelah itu gw ngerjain diklat bahasa inggris (yg sumpah! Ternyata susah banget!) dan diiringi alunan nyanyian pelan dari si pengajar dan permainan pelan gitar si ketua kelas. Yah, gw pikir inilah yang oke...! belajar sambil diiringi musik jazzy...

Yeah... the music really got into me...
